Outdoor gatherings are always memorable, but they can quickly fall apart if everyone is shivering or stuck under the blazing sun with no recourse. In winter, a couple of heaters for cooler evenings, shaded spots for the daytime of summer, and seating that’s both sturdy and comfortable keep people happy outside for longer.
Also think about the flow from indoors to outdoors too, so guests can move between spaces without it feeling disjointed. The patio, a small fire pit, or perhaps a few well-placed chairs are nice, just make sure there’s enough and the staging areas and balustrades are stable.
