I don’t know about you, but Halloween is one of my favourite seasonal events. There are many craft ideas for kids around, but what about Halloween craft ideas for adults? We love to get stuck in with the crafty fun as well! Therefore I’ve been doing a bit of brainstorming and have come up with these Halloween craft ideas using household items laying around the home. So get stuck in and raid the recycling box, you are in for a treat….. or is it a trick?!!
Halloween Bottles
If you have any old spirit bottles, or wine bottles hanging around, these can be turned into spooky bottles filled with your witch’s brews and potions. Give them a paint – matt black works best. You could even create labels for your scary potions. They would make great decorations around the home.

Creating Halloween T-shirts
Halloween is a great time to dress up. If you are not keen on going full-on dress-up costume mode, have you thought about designing your own Halloween t-shirts? You can make them for the whole family, or everyone who comes to the party! All you need is your plain t-shirts and Pumpkin SVGs. Download your choice of SVG file and using your iron-on transfers (you need to buy these separately) follow the instructions on the packet and you will have your own custom Halloween t-shirts! You will need to use the JPEG images included in your download.
Halloween Posters
Designing your own Halloween posters, cards and invitations is a fun crafty activity. You can use your SVG file for any compatible electric cutting machine. Download the file and import the image into any compatible cutting machine software. You can make your cards and invitations to match your t-shirts!

How To Make Fabric Pumpkins
Have you ever thought about making fabric pumpkins? You can use any bits of old fabric or felt lying around. Once you have made them you can bring them out each year for decorating your home.
All you need is felt or fabric in the colours of your choice, strong thread, felt glue and stuffing material. Cut the felt/fabric into a circle. Using a strong thread place a running stitch around the circumference of the felt circle. The pull tight so you have a cup shape. Next stuff the cup/pumpkin with the stuffing material and sew closed. Now you have the round pumpkin shape you will want to grab your thread and double it. Start in the middle and using a cross-stitch sew through the stuffed pumpkin shape and pull to divide into sections.
If you wish to have a stem on your fabric pumpkins, roll up brown felt and glue the seem. Cut a section off diagonally and glue to the top of the pumpkin.

Mummy Glass Jars
We’ve all used toilet roll holders to turn into mummies or bats, but have you thought about using old empty glass jars instead? In fact, glass jars can be wrapped in anything. You could use old newspaper, paper, and fabrics.

To make your own mummy glass jar decorations, you will need bandages, a glue gun and googly craft eyes.
Start by gluing one end of the bandage to the jar and then unwind the bandage around the jar. Putting a spot of glue every so often to keep it in place. Wrap it tightly as you go. Tuck the end of the bandage in and seal with another dab of glue. Next, glue your eyes on!
If you are looking for an aging mummy look, stain with a wet tea bag gently. There you have it! Your mummy glass jar Halloween decorations perfect for the living room!
I hope you have enjoyed these Halloween craft ideas for adults. Do you have any crafts that you enjoy making?
